Continuing Education Grants for Police and Firefighters
This grant was established to aid police officers and firefighters wishing to study advanced subjects pertinent to their field of endeavor. Ideally, the prospective grant recipient will use the funding to improve in their careers. The Continuing Education Grant Program was established to aid police and firefighters who are actively serving their community in Union County. Your desire to further your education is important. Grants are awarded at the discretion of the Board of Trustees.
The police officer or firefighter who applies for a grant for further study should be prepared to present his or her work record for inspection. Periodic reviews by the Scholarship Committee will assess the recipient's progress throughout the scholastic year, as high standards in both academic and personal life are important factors in grant requests.
